ASHRAE Standard 62.1 includes an Indoor Air Quality Procedure (IAQP) as a performance-based alternative to the prescriptive Ventilation Rate Procedure. Any outside-air reduction is project-specific and requires appropriate ASHRAE 62.1 engineering and application review; installing AEIRO does not by itself authorize a ventilation-rate change.
